Twas the Day and NIGHT before Kindergarten!!

The day before Ella's first day of kindergarten was great! A lazy morning at the house playing pet shop and baby nursery is how we spent our morning. After we got our tummies full we headed to the pool!We came home from the pool and decided to make a "fancy" dinner for Daddy. Menus were made by Ella and Lucy and Ella named the restaurant "Rosies Cafe." This would be the proud ownder of the restaurant. Miss Rosie heself!

Everyone was happy after dinner and dancing around!
After baths of course, we had to have a quick bedtime snack!Ella Grace was sooo excited! Lucy Anne was tired! (maybe this should have been my warning about what was about to come)
So yes friends. You can only guess if one wakes up eating a popsicle what happened during the night. Little Lu was attacked by the stomach bug and we were up and down all night! Ella grace was all smiles and very excited about her big day! Here we go! Off to Kindergarten!Ella Grace I will always remeber this day! You were so excited and eager to go to kindergarten! I am so happy for you! Lucy and I miss you terribly and can't wait to pick you up!
I love you bunches!

The Hardisters Are Back!!

I can't believe that my last post was 6 months ago. After a broken camera and a major computer crash, we are officially back up and running! We have a had a great summer! Ella and Lucy are little fish and it is hard to keep them out of the water. We have spent many summer days swimming and have enjoyed a wonderful week at the beach with our family. Lucy Anne also got a new big girl room, which we have had lots of fun playing in. She got moved out of toddler bed and into her first big girl bed.

Today is our last day of summer. The last day at home with my two little buddies before school starts. Tomorrow is especially a huge day for us because Ella Grace will be going to kindergarten. She is so excited. Her excitement is contagious. I am truely excited for her. A little sad of course to see my little Ella bella going into elementary school. Jay luckily will be going with me and Lucy in the morning as we take Ella to school. Here a some summer pics! So glad to be a blogger again!!!Lucy Anne!!Ella Grace always has a pose for the camera!!

Pull Over Daddy!!!

Over the past few months I feel like we have made many trips up and down 77! From visiting with family at Christmas to celebrating our grandmothers 90th BD there has been much time spent together in the car! No other picture better describes our time in the car with one another except this!Lucy Anne what are you doing?

Hey Jay! How many times now does this make we have had to stop?? Lucy why are you smiling?

You guessed it! When you gotta go you gotta go! And when Lucy Anne has to go you better be able to pull over in a matter of seconds before a serious melt down occurs!

Thanks Daddy for stopping-more than once! Love you bunches-Lu!

Happy Anniversary JAH!!

Yes, I know I haven't posted in a very long time! The longer I waited the longer I seemed to get behind! Tomorrow will be our 6 year anniversary, which obviously deserved a post! We were suppose to celebrate with good friends in a wonderful cabin on top of a mountain! We didn't make it very far -Newport, SC-to be exact, until our friends told us we better turn around! Heartbroken, we turned around and headed back to the Thrill! However, I was so happy Jay and I were together and safe!

It is a time to remember the day we got married! Although I wish I could say I remember every last detail of January 31st, 2004 I in fact don't. I don't remember what time I woke up or how many times I woke up the night before. I don't remember all the fine details of the reception my mom worked so very hard on. But, I do remember getting ready with Kasie that day and Dad taking our picture. I do remember my Dad putting the penny in my shoe. I remember when the church doors opened and everyone stood up I told my Dad to wait a minute before we started walking. And I do remember seeing Jay at the end of that long aisle with that big "Jay Grin" on his face. I remember our "talk" during the wedding songs as we stood there holding each others hands. I do remember how much I loved him before I walked down the aisle and how very much more I love him today. I will never forget the excitement I had that morning and the excitement I had when I saw Jay waiting on me. These past six years have been filled with lots of love and laughs. We were blessed with two beautiful girls who have completely changed our lives forever. We have grown together as parents and friends! Jay is my very best friend! He can make me laugh no matter what and is a wonderful Daddy to our babies!
So this anniversary we celebrated in adding a new very special person to our lives. Rosie!! Rosie was an early birthday present for Ella and Lu, and maybe just a little anniversary present for each other!! We welcome with love little Rosie! Can you guess you named her??

Ella and Lu are too excited!!!

Mommy is too!!

Hugs for Rosie!

Lucy Anne is such a good little mommy to Rosie

How excited we are to have another special person to love!!!!! Sweet Dreams from the Hardister House!

Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Program 2009

What a FUN week we have had! Last weekend the girls enjoyed Breakfast with Santa at the church! We ate pancakes, sausage, and grits! Then Santa stopped by to talk with all the little children! Lucy Anne couldn't wait to talk to Santa. Of course she told him she wanted a "baby." Ella was surpringly a little more reserved, but made sure Santa knew her "requests." They were so very precious! I can't believe how big they are getting! Next up was our Christmas Program at school! How much I love the girl's school and all their precious teachers! To know my girls are surrounded by so much love when they are away from home is a blessing and comfort! Ella Grace and Lucy Anne have been very excited about their program and have been coming home for a few weeks now singing their songs together! It was very cute to hear them singing. Jay said Ella makes up her own words too! (for those of you who don't know I seem to do this as I jam to tunes!) We were very excited for our family to join us on such a special day! The love that surrounds Ella Grace, Lucy Anne, and our whole family is tremendous! We are very thankful for the love from grandparents and great grandparents! What a blessing! Here are some pictures of their Christmas Play!
The girls were greeted by Doo Dad who brought them each a rose! How special and sweet!

Thank You Doo Dad for our Roses! They are Magical!

Our Paw Paw! We Love You! We can't wait to see Scooby Saturday! We will bring him a Scooby Snack!

Another very special person! Our Daddy! We Love You!

Tree Day!

We always look forward to putting up our tree! I love a Christmas tree and would leave it up all year if I could! The girls have always enjoyed the lights and now love to open the ornament box and hang the decorations up! It was such a fun family day! Here a few pictures of our day! Daddy Jay preparing the truck for the tree!Hardister Girls!

Didn't the girls do a beautiful job? They had such a fun time decorating the tree! They thought each ornament was absolutley beautiful! Placing the Nativity Scene out is always exciting! Lucy was trying to find Baby Jesus! Lucy found Baby Jesus! The girls were in charge of setting up the Nativity Scene!

After much sister debate this is how the Nativity Scene first ended up. We told the girls they needed to put everyone close together so they could all see Baby Jesus. Ella said that this was beautiful because it looked like a rainbow!!

In the end everyone was placed around Baby Jesus to celebrate his day! Lucy Anne was all by herself playing with the Nativity Scene and she was singing softly to Baby Jesus "Happy Birthday to You!" It was the most precious song to my ears!

Merry Christmas from the Hardister House!

To my girls, thank you for always being my eager little helpers! I always look forward to decorating for the holidays with you girls! Going through boxes and finding treasures is so exciting with you two! I pray that you will never forget the true meaning of Christmas and will celebrate the birth of Jesus everyday!
