Shuffle Shuffle Step Step! Lucy Anne Goes to Dance

I love my Big Sister Ella and want to follow in her dance steps!

You know who did this to me? My wonderful big sister Ella! She dressed me up so pretty! She even gave me a vail!

I love playing dress up and dancing with my sister!

It is obvious that Lucy Anne wants to do everything her sister does. They play with each other all day long and have the best time! It was only a matter of time that our little Lucy would want to take dance just like Ella! I had every intention of enrolling Lucy in dance next year at age 3 when they typically start. However, all this quickly changed when we took Ella Grace to dance on Monday night!

Everyone was happy and off to dance we go. However, attitudes quickly changed as soon as we got to dance. I had an extremely upset two year old on my hand. She was devasted and crushed she was unable to go and dance with her big sis! She cried so hard and kept saying "My turn, my dance room." I seriously couldn't stop laughing. I had to take her outside because of her extremely loud hissy fit she was throwing. You know the kind where everyone in the room is looking at you. Well, that is what was going on. We take a walk in the parking lot and Lucy Anne is letting me have it. She is screaming and uncontrollably crying. She ended her huge tantrum with a hit right in my face. Oh yes! Mommy got slapped. I am trying not to laugh and yet be firm to correct her wrong actions. So, off to the car we go and made a quick phone call to Daddy. He was on his way to see Ella on her big day. I called him to tell him he would have to take Little Lu home because she was so upset. She tugged at her Daddy's heart and he stopped by Sonic to get her a strawberry shake. When Ella and I arrived home Lucy was bundled up on the couch covered with a huge blanket and tear filled eyes. The first thing she said to me, "My turn Mommy, dance in my room."

Next thing was next. Mommy made a quick phone call to the dance studio to see if Lucy Anne could take dance. Wednesday night was Lucy's big day. We were all on edge to see what she would do. First thing is first! Dance shoes for Lucy. We go to purchase tap and ballet shoes. I fiqured even if she didn't like dance she would still dance around the house with Ella as they play dress up! Money well spent! She was so excited about her ballet shoes she literally danced her way out of the mall with her new shoes on! Precious!

Next up... Dance Class! She looked so precious in her little leotard, pink tights, and shoes! She danced all around that room and had the best time. Of course we left crying, but that was only because she didn't want to leave! So get ready for the Hardister dance recitals x2 this year family! Before I show everyone her dance pictures I have to share pictures of her huge "hissy fit" she continued, even on the day after Ella's dance class.

On Tuesday Ella Grace and Lucy were playing "dance class". Ella Grace had on her dance costume from last year and Lucy was wearing one of Ella's black leotards. Lucy kept saying, "My turn, my dance room." Ella and I were trying to explain, but as you can see Lucy was not listening. She ran into the bathroom, sat on her pink potty, and turned her back to me with those little arms crossed.

What a face!

Still not talking!

All smiles now! My turn to dance Mommy! Off to dance we go!

I Love this picture! So precious!

Hurry up Mommy! Let's Go!

Before dance class Ella Grace was sure to give Lucy a litte instruction!

All Aboard the Choo Choo Train!

On Monday the Hardister Girls got a special treat! We got to keep cousins Charlie, Wylie, and Baby Bess. Ella Grace and Lucy are my little helpers and were so excited to help "babysit" the babies! We had so much fun! There is never a dull moment in the house when you are with 5 kids. The children were little angels and couldn't have been any better! They play so well with each other and entertain one another. We have a few surprises for Auntie Kasie that she doesn't know about! We invite you all to come along on our Choo Choo Train! Leave it to Ella Grace to organize a choo choo train for the girls. Of course she is the driver! Poor Wylie, always gets the backseat even on a pretend train! She was content though with her book in hand! All Aboard! Where's Charlie?Forget the train! I have work to do! I gotta clear out all these dolls on the floor! Beep Beep! Even the babies in their bumbo seats made it on the train. Safe and sound in the middle. Ella and Lucy placed baby dolls in the bumbo seats and covered them with a small boppy so they could nap! Stop the train Conductor Ella! I must check on the babies! Wylie is still enjoying her book on the train ride! We seem to have picked up a new passenger along the way! We made it! It was a long ride with a whole lot of stops, but we made it! We picked up a few new friends along the way and seemed to have maybe even left a few. Regardless, the train has finally arrived to the Bailey Cafeteria! Charlie even seemed to make it to our destination and he was sure to bring his lunch! Let's Eat! Always remember to stop and eat ladies! Life can be busy I know, but never too busy to eat! We hear ya Charlie! Let's Eat!Yummy! Time for Dessert! Thanks Doo Dad for bringing us a special treat! My favorite! Fudge Pops! This is very tasty, however I do not want to get my hands messy Auntie Amy! Please I beg of you, hold my popsicle for me, please!!I love Chocolate, I really really do! Now that's what I'm talking about ! Perfect timing Doo Dad! I wasn't going to eat my veggies anyway! Move over green beans and welcome Fudge Pop!This is just great! You can pick up those green beans now Auntie Amy! Girls, really! Don't be shy! We are family! From one tot to another! Let me show you how to eat a popsicle. First, it is always important to have fun with your food! Enjoy it! Savor the moment! For example, I like to make art on the wall with my popsicle. I first make a few swirls in a circular motion.
Then I take a break! Enjoy a little a popsicle while I gaze at my popsicle drawing on my Mommy's kitchen wall! What will she say I wonder! It is pretty cool I must say! But, I think it needs one more touch.Just a little more right here in the middle. Perfect! Now go ahead! Take my picture beside my popsicle drawing! Isn't it great Mom?

Now girls, like I said before, have fun! Get messy! Live a little. Why are you girls always asking for a napkin and bibs?

I hope my advice has been helpful to you ladies! Just remember I will always have your back! I'm the only boy around here! Somebody's got to show you girls how to have some fun! Alright Auntie Amy, I'm ready for a nap!

All the children were getting sleepy eyes and naps were right around the corner. Everyone was full and happy! And then it happened. I knew it would sooner or later, especially as all the little tots were gathering there "nap" time friends. We have Bunny Foo (x2), we have pink blankies (x2) , and we have paci's (x3). Three pacis you ask? Guess who found the paci stash?

Little Lucy Lu! Please Mommy please please please! How many tears do I have to cry? I just want this pink paci and I promise I'll go night night!

I was strong and sweetly said No No! Paci went bye-bye! Charlie and Wylie were off for their nap as little Baby Bess was waking up from her morning nap! Let's play sweet little Bess!

Tummy Time!Play Time!Wow! I'm really lookin good!

Here I go! I think I got it this time! Yep, I know I can reach it! Just give me a minute!

Well maybe not yet! It still is pretty far away. Maybe in a few more months I can reach that toy!

Sweet Bess! How very much I love you!

That concludes our wonderful day playing with our cousins! These five little people made me laugh and smile more times than I could possibly count! Can't wait to get together again to play!

Fun with Dad!

What a wonderful Daddy Ella Grace and Lucy have! He is on Daddy Duty pretty much every weekend, when I typically work at least two nights! He is always in search of a new park for them to play at or a new activity! Jay found a wonderful "no depth" water park recently he enjoys taking the girls to. I was lucky enough to join them on their Daddy/Daughter Adventure the other day! What a park! You rock Daddy Jay! This is the "Dragon" I had heard so much about! Looks like a place Jay would find! Right? Haha! They love it!Ella Grace under the Dragon! Here comes Lucy Lu!
