All the Leaves Are Turning Brown!

The Hardisters are getting ready for Fall! The beautiful weather this week has surely put us in the mood! Ella and Lucy are getting excited about Halloween and trying to decide what ever they should be. Ella Grace, bless her heart, is having the most difficult time because she just can't make up her mind. I think Mommy might just have to surprise them both with their costumes because these decisions are just too much for a 4 and 2 year old to handle!!! As I started blogging I couldn't resist taking a trip down memory lane from past to present. Please join us as we celebrate and remember fun times!Lucy's first Halloween. She was 7 months old! Please note all of our favorite "friends" during this time. Nemo and oh yes, I see them... The Disney Princess Gang.
Look at those little curls! So precious! Ella Grace was 2! Lucy thinks her sister has gone princess crazy!

Halloween 2007! The Nemo Sisters!

Of course we had to stop by our Winthrop Drive neighbors. The Bailey House! Back to the House to count our candy!

Halloween 2008!

The Bumblebee and Princess head to Boo at the Zoo!

don't forget to keep on dancing!

Sweet Ella Grace!
Just wanted to share two of Ella's precious moments we encountered this week! Ella Grace is so into fashion, dresses, hair, make-up, and perfume! She can design an outfit in a matter of minutes. She looks in the mirror out of the corner of her eyes and then gives herself a little smile as I fix her hair in the mornings. She is truly hilliarious and makes us laugh countless times a day!

Her first precious moment occurred at school. On this particular day she wore a pink and navy blue dress with flowers on it. She threw a little fit before school because she wanted to wear a black headband with polka dots on it. I told her it didn't match and she could either wear the pink one or leave her hair down. I tried my hardest to explain to her that the dress was navy blue because it was a darker blue and to her appeared black. After 5 minutes of bickering with me saying her dress was black and not blue she finally put the pink headband on and off we went.

Jay picks her up from school and her teacher told Jay a funny Ella story. Her teacher commented on how pretty her dress was and Ella said, "Well it's not blue it's "gravy blue." Jay and I found this too funny.

Then comes her artwork she made at school. I evidently can find anything to blog about, but after seeing these pictures I am sure you will get a little laugh. Ella was asked to cut pictures out of a magazine of her family and glue them on paper. Here is Ella's Family...

From left to right you have Mommy (sleeping), Daddy in a blue button up shirt, Ella (she is apparently 13 with a long braid and Lucy eating). I find this very funny. Now you can't really see Mommy and Daddy so here is a close up.

I guess my 12 hour night shifts on the weekend make her think I sleep all day. HAHA! Will she grow up thinking her Mommy just slept all day??? And Jay-always smilin and has a little hair! I asked Ella what made her choose this Mommy for me and she said, "Well that's just the only one I could find."

Perhaps the biggest laugh I got out of this activity though was Ella's picture of herself. She is the one with the braided ponytail. She is always asking me to braid her hair these days. And after I do, she gives herself that little smile of satisfaction in the mirror. For Lucy, well I actually think she hit this one right on!

Hope our Little Ella made you smile today!

Shiny as Diamonds

This morning Ella Grace had her first visit to the dentist! We have been preparing Ella Grace for her "big day" for quite some time now. She has gone once with her Daddy to see what going to the Dentist was all about. At that visit with her Daddy she got to squirt the water in his mouth and retrieve it with the "straw." She had lots of fun with Jay and even was able to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. She even got to practice cleaning Eddy's teeth at Edventure one day last year. Here are the pictures leading up to Ella's Big Day! Cleaning Eddy's Teeth!
Just a little more toothpaste and you will be all done! Time for the Doctor to count your teeth! He will be right in! Great Job Eddy! BIG GIRL! Ella was all smiles before her teeth cleaning! She chose, of course, the strawberry flavored toothpaste for her cleaning experience today! This picuture is for you Daddy! Ella Grace loved the "straw" that got all the water out of her mouth! She laughed alot during this part!

Never Fear Big Girl Lucy was right there watching her big sister! She had so much fun watching Ella Grace...

and by the end of the visit Lucy Anne got her turn to sit in the chair! Lucy wants to do everything she sees Ella do! So, as we left our visit Miss Lucy Anne was scheduled for her first dentist appointment in March when Ella will return!

As Ella Grace would say, "My teeth are as shiny as diamonds!"

Our first trip to the dentist was a success! We left with a shiny smile and a goody bag filled with a new toothbrush, Sponge Bob Toothpaste, Floss, a t-shirt, and some stickers!

Our wonderful girls! What imaginations they have! They both love to play dress up and build castles! Lucy Lu likes to wear dress up clothes she has found to school (without her Mommy knowing of course)! Lucy is Ella's assistant with everything and loves her so very much! Ella bella's imagination is endless. Ella Grace talks about flying over meadows with fairies on a pink unicorn and seeing a beautiful rainbow on her adventure! She also would like to dance and sing like My Little Ponies! These are just a few of the magical dreams that take place at our house! I love their little imaginations and hope they always will dream big! I invite you to come along inside our magical castle!

A My Little Pony Castle that is! This is not just a castle though! It also serves as a vet hospital as I understand for Lucy's new kitty who is apparantly sick today. Now before I take you inside the castle please take note at the objects Ella used to build such a castle. Ella built her castle over a little chair she placed in Lucy's bed. She draped her beautiful pink blankets over the chair to make an elegant space! On the top you have of course Pinkie Pie from My little pony who is standing on a red frisbee. Now you can't really see from this picture, but in the middle is an Aerial figure who seems to have lost the lower half of her body.

I guess Ursula the Sea Witch took her legs forever!

Inside you will see Lucy's kitty who is very sick!

The My Little Pony Vet Hospital is now open! You may bring all your sick animals here to receive top quality care! Ella Grace and Lucy would like all of you bloggers out there to dream big today, dance, and have fun!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The events that I am about to describe to you actually happened. These are true and accurate events that took place on 9-9-09 at 0900 in the 2 year old preschool class where Lucy Anne Hardister resides on the mornings of Monday thru Friday. I at first had severe hesitations about blogging about this, but then after laughing so hard all day I decide to share our funny story!

I picked Lucy Anne up from school today at 12:00. Her wonderful teachers brought her to me and told me they had something really funny to tell me! My first thought was that she said something really funny. Little did I know, they were about to tell me that Lucy Anne wore her mommy's pink panties to school today! I can't even handle it! I am still laughing just writing about it. Yes that is right folks. Lucy and Ella were playing dress up this morning before school and Lucy seemed to have put her two little feet in one leg of my panties and slipped them right on up above her diaper onto her belly. Not knowing this, I gave her a big hug and kiss and sent her off to school (with my pink panties on!) So when it was time for diaper changes, her teachers saw this pink apparel on Lucy's belly. At first, they thought she put something on from the "dress up" center in their class, then quickly realized she had put on something else this morning !

Of course I was mortified! Everyone, including myself, just laughed hysterically about it and continues to laugh! To all you Mom's out there who have little girls I would like to give you some advice. Recently I have learned a few things. First and foremost if your girls like to get in your clothes and play dress-up you should always check under their dresses before you send them on their way! You never know what they may have gotten themselves into. You always hear about children saying something embarrasing in public, but I can't say that I have ever heard of any child wearing their mothers panties to preschool around their belly!
Secondly, if you can't find your wallet for two days you should always check their play kitchen. It is probably in there.

We guess she needed some money for her groceries!

Last but not least always keep a training potty in the back of your car. The task of suspending a little one in the air making sure they don't touch anything in even the nicest public bathroom is a huge task in itself. Especially when you have your second child who is now running around in the bathroom peeking under the stall next to them to see what is going on. Jay loves the potty in the car, especially if he has the girls out by himself. It has come in great handy and we can't leave the house without it!

The Hardister Traveling Bathroom!

Remember...girls will be girls! And girls just wanna have fun!

I Love you Lucy and will never forget this day! Thank you for always making me laugh and smile! You and Ella are my heart! I look forward to all the fun you girls are yet to get into!

Ella's Upcoming Fall Fashion Line 2009

Ella Grace has always lived in her own little world. Her own little meadow filled with fairies, princesses, and rainbows. After coming across some of these pictures I couldn't resist blogging about it! Ella Grace would like to introduce her new and upcoming Fashion Line...call it what you want!

If you're afraid you'll be too cold or too hot, this is the perfect outfit for you. The scarf can easily be tossed for a more summer look.

When it comes to sleeping, attire should not be neglected. These light and comfy cotton pj's will make any night a great night's sleep!

From my new line of ball gown dresses, this beaufiul pink and purple gown will sure be a crowd pleaser!

Another Ella Grace special. Here you have a bathing suit paired with a blue silk skirt and straw hat for those summer days!Another available option for you girls out there is to pair the above ensemble with a snow hat! Perfect outerwear for a day in the jeep! Polka dots and pink pants! It's always good to coordinate your look with your activities. Another dress from my line of formal wear! No dress is complete without a beautiful headpiece. Make sure when you check out to pick up your pink fuzzy crown! Simple yet extremely elegant. This is a great pair! For all the brides to be out there, this one is for you! You don't have to go with the traditional white dress! As you see I have paired a light blue skirt with a white cape. To bring the look all together I would recommend you add this pink headpiece for a bit of elegance! Here you see a beautiful smocked easter dress my mother made me wear. However, don't forget to accessorize your outfits. It brings out your personality! For instance, here I paired purple sunglasses with my dress! Perfect for all those Easter Pictures! Soon will be coming my line of dance clothes! I will be adding more headpieces and wraps over the next few weeks, so check back regularly for my complete line! I have really enjoyed pairing all sorts of headpieces with my outfits lately. It just seems to give everything a little "pop." That WOW factor us ladies are always looking for.

I am long overdue with a blog update from the Hardister House! I can't believe how very big the girls are getting. I am amazed everyday at the new things they learn and can do. Ella Grace and Lucy started back to preschool last week, which they love! Ella Grace loves to learn and Lucy loves to play and sing songs! Off to meet our teachers!Of course Ella Grace had to do a few twirls around the yard and a few solo pictures before actually getting in the car! First Day of Preschool!

Ella Grace is now in 4 year old preschool at the church and goes everyday from 9-12. I can't even handle the fact that next year I will be blogging about Ella going to kindergarten! Little Lu is still in the 2 year old class and also goes 5 days a week from 9-12! Lucy learned a little song this week "Where is thumbkin, Where is thumbkin, Here I am, Here I am" She was singing it the other night in the bathtub and loves the part where you hide your fingers behind your back. When she got done with her song she congratulated herself by clapping and saying, "Yeaaah!" It was so precious. I tried to get it on video, but she stopped singing everytime she saw me!

However, you know when school starts back you are about to welcome a visitor to your house. A visitor you didn't ask for and a visitor you want to go away. Who is that you ask? Mr. Stomach Virus is his name. We seem to see this guy every year at least twice. His visit came quick this year attacking Lucy first, then Ella, and even our poor Doo Dad. We are still waiting to see who else Mr. Stomach Virus is going to visit in our house. Maybe he is gone, maybe he isn't. Time will only tell. I just have one last picture to share. What do you get when you have two toddlers with a stomach virus?

A really big mess, but not to big for the extra wide steam cleaner from Lowes! Go Daddy Jay! Mr. Stomach Virus you may leave now. Please I beg of you... just go away.
